I've been working two part time jobs, running behind 3 kids and my husband and making it through Christmas but I wanted to come back to my blog and my favorite craft. So tonight I did except it was a sad reason to make my card. We lost a great man on Monday and I've wanted to send the family a card. And that's the card for tonight....

I decided to cut my Christmas card making down a bit this year and what better way than to make use of My digital Studio by Stampin Up... They lowered their prices on the professional printing service and this week they have the Digital Studio 1/2 price... But back to my project I design this card using the software program and had it printed through Stampin Up!'s service and I love the final product..

what makes this hybrid is that once I got my selection home I just had to add some of Stampin Up! rhinestones to the front...

The inside was another oh my once I had finished it using the program... I think with all the new products they are offering for the print service and the many new downloads to add I will use this many many more times...

I've been a little busy and out of touch for a while...However I'm still here and around... I have been busy working on my Best Friend's wedding invites for the past few months and they have consumed much of my life but I'm seeing the end of the rainbow and Last weekend I cranked out 8 of these little pretties for the start of my holiday cards... I used my SU five point flower punch to help create a poinsettia on my card. Here is the finial product....

I'm very happy with it... I colored these in while waiting for my dad to go through eye surgery a couple of weeks ago. Love taking something to color when I know I'm gonna have a long wait somewhere. Did you happen to check out the corner of my blog... I'm now Copic certified.... I went to a wonderful class last week in Richmond, VA and was taught by Colleen Schaan and her lovely helper Beate. But back to my lovely card... I used Stampin Up!'s Postcard stamp from the holiday mini and of course my big shot... Very simple card and fun to create..

My children have offically been in school for a week... And I've found time to get back to my stamping and in the weeks to come want to share alittle bit with my fellow bloggers. This past weekend my mother celebrated a birthday and so I had to come up with a card...

I had fun combining my Stampin Up stamps and alittle non SU for her.... SHe is a lover of many books and my dad gave her a Nook so My sister and I gave her some accessories for it. All in all my stampin mojo is here and I've got a lot of things coming up in the coming months.

I made this card back in June for my dad's 65 bday. And have yet to share so tonight I'll share with you...

I used the stamp from King of The Grill in the summer mini along with the cog punch... The fun part of this card is that the greeting has a secret to it... When you look at the card it looks like a normal gate fold card. Even on the inside..

But if you bend it just right you have another message inside...

I've been waiting on my latest Stampin Success mag and a sneak peek of the Holiday mini and neither have showed up here so I took some of my stamps out and played...

I made a swing card and here it is...

I used about three different stamp sets to create this card. I took the fairy from the Summer mini set called A Little Bit of Magic. The sentiments came from a new hostess set in the new Catalog Occasional Quotes and the stamp set Well Scripted. I also took the flower from Fifth Avenue Floral. I had fun with this card and the combination of colors I used...

This is the inside of the card once you pull it opened... The DP is from our SAB paper pad. I still have some of it left...

This last images is of the front once pulled open... I had fun coloring. I'll be back tomorrow with a card I made back in June for my Dad's Birthday.

Set of Note Cards...

My Husband has been after me for over a year to make him a set of notecards to mail out to the families that he is responsible for in our Church... Well I finally sat down and made a set. He now has to find time to make these out to his families that he has this year.

I enjoyed making this set too. I got to do my favorite thing and that is color. The stamp set I used is out of Stampin Up!'s Occasions Mini. And it is one of their first clear mount sets. I love the block they designed to use with the clear mounts. I gave all of my old ones to my mom and bought the set from SU. The designer paper I've used is from the sellabration mini which ends this month so if you want to play with that paper you better get it quick. I'm feeling a little better now because I'm back to stamping after such a long break. I hope everyone is having a great start to March... See you again soon.

Yeah me and my sewing machine have been at it alittle bit the past few months and I thought I'd add it to a card today... along with some of Stampin Up's stitched felt flowers and their kisses too.

I was give a pack of these stitched flower from the occasions mini when I became certified to use the digital studio. And guess what? I have not touched one until today... Now I think I need to play with them alittle more. Look at how pretty they make this card...
I love the stitching they use on each piece. And I just had to stitch around my background piece too... The kisses are so cute and so fun to add to cards, I really hope they plan on them making it to the new catty in July. If not I know the next couple of months I'll be placing a few of these on order... All supplies used on my card can be found in either the occasions mini or SAB mini... Have a great day.

I know but I took a break and have been working at it again and so for today thought I would share a quick and simple card....

I used one of Stampi Up!'s new embosslits die: Beautiful Wings to create all those wonderful butterflies... I so love this tool and my Big Shot too. I grabbed the stamp from my Baroque Motifs and I thought the card was complete.

I'll try and get back to posting regularly and being a better blogger.. have a great saturday night...

Where have I been? I've been skipping around the net and getting my kids off to school and playing with Stampin Up!'s My Digital Studio. Plus healing from my surgery back in september. But enough I have been too quiet and thought I share a few projects I've been playing with using the program...

This past weekend we ran to Florida again to help celebrate my Husband's grandmother's 90th birthday....

Of course I had to make a card for her..

I decided to use one of the newest images I had on hand from Whiff of Joy and some of Stampin Up!'s designer paper. And why not tie in a new cuttle bug die and embossing folder along with everything else.

I had fun coloring her in with my copics and trying my best to stick to the same color scheme the entire project... hope everyone has had a great weekend and gotten through Monday... I can't wait til Friday all ready but then it's back to school for my kids next week..

I had a chance to play with some of my stamps tonight and just by chance I made this card using a preview set from Stampin Up!'s holiday mini that is coming out next month. The cute thing about this set is it is made to use your punches and create a card with a treat inside but I decided to use it without the treat cups....

I still used my punches but had fun creating the balloon shape.. This is a fun set and I'm gonna get plenty of use out of it. And don't forget this stamp is not available until September.....

Rainy day play

I was able to get some time in today and play with my neglected stamps. So I grabbed one of my new stamps that my secret sister Jami sent me... I love the two Whiff of Joy stamps she sent me. She was such a generous sister. Now on to my creation...

She looks like she a sweet little girl. I colored her in with my copics of course and decided to use my Big Shot and the top Note die to frame her.
I even took my white gel pen to her dress to help make the flower print stand out. I know the perfect person to send this too to.. Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far..

Stamping Idols that is...

When I went on vacation my Husband was nice enough to take a detour and head down to CHA in Orlando... I got to go to the supershow. There I got to meet lots of stampers and many famous ones... My husband was nice enough to come along and help tote my bags and even man the camera for this shot of me with Debbie Olson of Thinking Inking. I even got to talk copics with her for a bit. She was over helping man the Papertrey Ink booth... Oh the Papertrey goodness I've come home with.

I really hope CHA decides to do this again next year. I had so much fun. I hope to play tonight with some of my goodies.

Working or playing it is all in how you look at it... I'm supposed to be packing but I also need to get a small package out in the mail to my secret sister... So I got part of it done last night and thought I'd share it with you today.

As you can see I altered alittle clipboard for her and used one of my favorite stamps from Whiff of Joy's stamp line... isn't she gorgeous... I had taken the dp out and it just inspired me to color her outfit in blue. So off I went with my copics and the result to me was satisfying...

I love using my copics with these images. And of course who could not add some bling to it... I used waterfall stickles on her dress and then some shimmers on the present... I just love some sparkle...

I also could not resist grabbing my butterfly die from Stampin Up and run it through my Big Shot to get the fabulous butterfly next to her. Both images make a great anchor for the small pad of paper. I hope she likes her gift along with a few other items... I've got one other image I colored last night and hope to make something with it today... have a great week.. I've got packing to do as I'm headed to Florida to see family and will be stopping by CHA in Orlando too... I'm so excited to be taking this trip but have dreaded packing for five...

and you know what that means... I've been playing with my copics of course... should be in bed sleeping but instead I stamped a couple of images and then colored one in and made a card. Want to see? Of course you do...

Isn't that puppy darling. I had to have that set and was sad to see Stampin Up! didn't bring it back. Guess the set is a keeper for me. And of course I was sad to see them retire the 08-09 incolors. I so love the soft sky and baja breeze. and the patterned papers that matched these wonderful colors. Back to my copics though... I took inspiration from a pair of old workboots my dad had while I was growing up... bet you know what they were called... Caterpillars... those boots were staple in my house growing up. and I remember those yellow/tan looking boats so well. The copics are so relaxing to color with...

Well I think I'm gonna head to bed for the night hope you all have a great weekend...

Alittle something simple...

I needed something to get me motivated and I came up with this simple card. It is a onelayer with some embossing from my cuttlebug and then the cute penguin is from Stampin Up!'s set Animal Crackers. He is so cute... I colored the ice with my copics and then painted over them with some shimmerzs blingz. I then felt it needed alittle something so I grabbed some Stampin Up!'s linen thread and tied it around the card...

The shimmerz blingz added just the touch to the ice...
The sparkle in this is just right for the ice...

I created this card on the fly and have a few other variations of it I made that day...

Yes this was done on Saturday night because I had been so behind lately and procrastinating. I have had a creative block and it has been so depressing... I hope to be back and creating more as I play with my new Stampin Up! supplies... There is even a little preview made into this card...

This little piece is made with Stampin Up's new Modern Label punch.... It is such a cute punch and so perfect for a card. This is the one I gave my dad and I have a few other types of this card for other important dad's in my family... I hope all had a great Father's day and I hope this creative slump I'm in will soon end...

Trying something new...

I did this card a couple of weeks ago and set it out to a friend. And I didn't share here... I feel so bad about that...

There is a technique that has been running around the net that I had to try with this rose from Stampin Up. So I stamp the rose and embossed it. Then grabbed my reinkers and played. I have fallen for browns and blue combinations lately.

This card is almost all SU but I did grab my papertrey ink background set spots and dots. colored the images in with one of my copics...

I even embossed the envelope with my embossing folder from SU.. I've got a preorder out that will be here tomorrow to play with from SU... The new catty happens to be in and I can't wait to look at it and can't wait to get my hands on the new incolors... be prepared for some new samples and colors here soon.

Another Birthday card....

Yes I've been busy making Birthday cards and here is one that I used my Wild Card cartridge for the cricuit along with some stamps and nestablities dies...

This was one of the card shapes that convinced me to buy this wonderful cartridge. I stamped the base with versamark and clear embossed a pattern on it. I then grabbed my housemouse image and stamped it three times to give the image some dimension as well as coloring it with my copic markers... This is such a cute image. The sentiment is papertrey ink Birthday sentiments... I love acrylic stamps and the way you can manipulate them ... I curve the sentiment with a glass and mounted it on my acrylic block in the shape and then stamped it.... So much fun...

I have been away and such a bad blogger... I've got projects to share though.. hope it will make up for the long silence you've had. For starters I want to let you know we've had some excitement the last few weeks.... 1. my computer died and it's the one I had my photo software on for editing my pictures... I so missed it... but it came back today. 2. We had a slight house fire this past week which scared the snot out of me... Our heat pump decided to die on us through this fire and hope to have a new one by the end of next week. Lucky for us I was home the day of the fire...

Now back to my project to share tonight. It is a quick card made with my cricut and a new cartridge I had to pick which has now made me start a fund to save up and buy the expression... yeah I have the baby bug and so now want the big one.

My son came home tonight and needed a Birthday card for a friend of his tomorrow... well this was what I came out with. It was a fun card to create and most was done using the cricut cartridge Wild Card. If you have the Cricut and have not yet picked up this cartridge it is a must have... run don't walk to your nearest craft store and get it... I've used it for two cards so far and know I'll use it for many more.

Playing around...

Yes I'm playin around with my copics this morning and my circle cutter from SU!. I started this card about a week ago when I got my circle cutter from SU!, just wasn't sure what image would go with it. Well this morning I decided to break the card out and finish it.

GinaK inspired me to use a double mat on this card. Her blog entries of late have been so beautiful using a double mat with both the scallop and regular ovals. You really should hop over to her blog and check out her beautiful creations... They can be found here. I had never thought to double mat with my images using my nesties.

I then chose one of my Whiff of Joy stamps to color...I colored her in with my copics. I so enjoyed this little bit of color therapy. I hope you all are have a great week... I have to take the oldest to the dentist today and can't wait to see how that goes.

I've had a workshop and some things here in the house needed my attention but I plan on getting more regular again. I thought I would share my favorite card from the workshop tonight...

This was fun to create and I so enjoyed playing with the level 1 hostess set. I love the new eyelet border punch.. I cut the border on the raspberry tart dp and I also cut my square frame with it. So many options for such a darling punch.

I decided to stamp the roses using my SU markers on this one... Did you know they are waterbased and using an aquapainter to them with water can give you the most beautiful effect. This is my favorite card from the workshop... I hope you have enjoyed my eye candy for tonight. I'm a guest Designer for the Copic Color Challenge blog this week.. I've been so excited about it too. But for their challenge this week we had to use a sketch... This was fun and boy did I have to think on it... But I think my card turned out...

I love coloring with my copics. The images can come out so clear and colorful. And this image is so cute... My color combo came from me looking at my Papertrey Ink stack of cardstock... The spring moss, pure poppy and summer sunrise were all grouped together and looked so good too. I then decided that my three square on the bottom would look great embossed using my paisley and dot cuttlebug folders... been a while since I played with the folders. I tried to pull my copic colors to match these beautiful cardstock colors.. I hope you have a chance to visit the Copic Color Challenge blog and try some of their challenges. Have a great day...

Happy Birthday Card...

I needed a Birthday card because my DD is turning 5 next week... I can't believe she is turning 5... Well I was doing some of my daily blog hoppin and happened upon today's Copic color challenge and decide why not....

These are the copic colors I used along with the three main colors that was the challenge...

I then went looking through my stamps to decide on the perfect image and what better than ella and her new friend from Stamping
Bella. I think this card came out perfect for my DD....

I even decided that the inside needed to be shared...For the sentiment on the inside I went looking through my stamps from Papertrey Ink. They have the perfect set of sentiments for Birthdays called Birthday Basics.

Copic playing... and die cut playing..

I've been working on today's eye candy for a while now... My Big Shot was broken when my daisy die came in so I was able to get the Big Shot replaced on Friday and also this adorable Whiff of Joy stamp came in on Saturday so I was able to finally put them together as a card today... I also didn't want the normal A2 card but I did want it to fit the envelope...

The Daisy die is one of the new dies that SU is carrying for the Big Shot and I love being able to make my own flowers. With so many different types of materials that you can cut with the Big Shot the types of flowers you can cut are endless. I layered my daisy on top of the card and then went to my trusty nestiablities dies and cut out my image and a layer from Papertrey Inks new DP Bitty Dot Basics.

I then colored in my Whiff of Joy image with my copics... I love the way these markers blend so well together.This image reminds me of my love for a good book to read and I'm currently hooked on the Twilight series. But enough about my reading habits lets get back to my coloring this image in... I used copic ciao markers along with my sketch blender pen to blend in my shades... I used like three different shades of pink on her shirt and 2 shades of blue for her jeans.

This photo just describes that city in one glance... it is a mix of both old and new....

I'm head for a weekend of relaxing. But my parents are here to take care of the kids and animals. But before I leave I'll show you a valentine card I made really quick tonight....

I made this card using the challenge over on the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog... Actually it is the 18th challenge they have had over there and they are very fun... You can find the challenge over here. You were only allowed to have 3 patterned papers, 2 flowers and 1 button or brad. And you had to use a Whiff of Joy stamp. I love this stamp and knew I needed a valentine card. It worked perfectly.

For my two flowers and a brad or button I used two prima daisys and one of SU new buttons. The daisys were altered a bit with some gold blingz shimmerz... it has so many uses... I even added some to my image. Now for the three patterned papers there was some of SU new dp Raspberry Tart, and two heart dolies I happened to find in Walmart. I think that covered most of the requirements for this challenge.

I loved coloring the image in... Coloring is so relaxing for me. I needed the break from packing... Anyone feel like coming over and helping me finish...
Oh well can't help but try. Have a great Valentines everyone... I'm headed to CT for a weekend get away see you soon.

Trying something different...

Yup today I decided to try something alittle different and that was a sketch over on the High Hopes Stamps Blog. I don't have any of these adorable stamps but I thought that one of my Whiff of Joy stamps might fit the sketch.

I had a fun time coloring in this image. I used my copics on the image and alot of the blender pen to make my highlights. I also added some shimmer to his wing using Shimmerzs... This product is so easy to add sparkle to something really quick.
I love the bandaid on his foot... This little guy reminds me of my middle child so much. I always get the "I'm bored, mom..." and this is so him. Oh well he'll grow out of this I hope someday. And as my last post I'm so stuck on the color combo... it is so much fun..

But on a sad note my Big shot died today but SU is being so nice and is replacing it for me. The only problem with this is I got a new die to play with today and now I have to wait for the new one... Oh well guess I'll have to work on some other ideas. Have a great evening.

Catty Case Saturday....

Today I took a look at pages 80 and 81 in the new spring and summer SU catty. Between the colors on those pages and then the layout they used on the card at the bottom of page 80 I came up with these two cards....

I did use a retired background but everything else is current. The only difference between the two cards is the sentiment used on the front. The background stamp was stamped in versamark ink and then I used a little bit of clear embossing powder. It really made the background stand out.

Now after seeing how that background was standing out I knew I needed a image that popped and why not a butterfly flying off the card.... I stamped the solid image from flight of a butterfly on creamy caramel and then cut it out along with placing two dimensionals on the back and then added the stamped image on cardstock vellum... I place the vellum on the cardstock using a glue dot.

This color combo may play itself out here on my blog in the next few days to build up to a special project... Play with GinaK stamps...

Back in January (I think), I won the most adorable stamp set from GinaK. Well I got to play with it and this is what I came up with.

The stamp set is called Home Tweet Home. It has the cutest images and I had to play with this one. I actually layered different parts of this image. I cut the fence three times and the bird house once. After coloring it in I thought it was alittle plain so I added in the line of blue... It's actually a sticker from last years SAB scrapbooking set.

I then thought about doing something to the back and this is what I came up with... using more of the stickers from that SAB set.

This card was fun to make and I colored in my image with my copics. If your interested in getting your hands on some copics GinaK has a club starting up... It's how I've been collecting them. All the information about her clubs can be found
here. They are a fun tool to play with and very addicting once you start using them.... Have a great Friday night...

Sadie Day....

This past Saturday my Cousin became a proud parent for the first time... They named her Sadie Day. I had to make a card just for the occasion and I think this says it all....

This was fairly easy to put together and I had a blast making it. I used last years SAB on the envelope and then added this years Congrats SAB set on the inside of the card. Along with stampin up sets I had to grab my Justrite stamp set Harmony Classic Circle III Stamp Ensemble 3-1/4.... however I did alittle adjusting to it.
Instead of letting the words just because being the sentiment I took a congrats stamp I had and placed it where Just because would have been.... I also embossed the butterflies with silver embossing powder and the painted them with some of my shimmerz paints.

CPS 100

You know me... I had to try out CPS100 and have been working on this car since Sunday... I'm still not 100% satisfied with this but hey I have the rest of the week to try and come up with another one. Now on to this cad....

I love this image from Whiff of Joy and it so reminds me of Valentines so What better theme. I also found a pack of Dollies that I had to have and have been hording for over a month. I knew I wanted to use them on a project. I still have other ideas to use them on.

You can find the sketch over on the CPS Blog here. I finally got my hands on Spellbinders labels 2 and used them for my focal pieces.
I colored my image in with my copics and then added some shimmerzs to give it some sparkle. These are one of the easiest ways to add sparkle. I also added alittle white gelpen for the ibbon on her shirt sleve and the dots along the bottom of he shirt.

On Vacation

I'm in Connecticut right now but had made this card up and had it ready to be posted this week...

This card was made for my dad's uncle who has been in the hospital for awhile now due to some medical issues. He is now in rehab and doing much better. My dad wanted a get well card and what better get well card than using a Thomas Kinkade image from Cornish Heritage Farms. These images are so detail and beautiful no matter whether you color them or just do a monochromatic theme.

For this card I went with the monochromatic theme and had fun doing it. I love this lighthouse image. I also paired it with my musical scrapblock stamp from CHF. Those scrapblock stamps create beautiful images and backgrounds.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week... I'm seeing lots of lovely snow here and have heard from my parents that back home we are going to get 4-6 inches.... it figures it would snow there when I go up north to get my snow fix.... Have a great week and I'll try and post a few vacation pictures soon.

Catty Case Saturday....

I'm starting up my Catty Case Saturday again and here is #1 for this year... Taking a holiday card out of the Fall and Winter SU catty and using new stamps with it... The card can be found on page 39 of the Fall and winter catty. Next weeks will come out of the new catty.

I just love this set from the new catty called Just Buzzin' By. The bees in this set are too cute. I was asked to make a birthday card for my cousin by my parents and I think this is just perfect. I used the card on page 39 to get my layout for this one. These bees have the cutest faces...
I cut the little bee out and colored her in with my stampin write markers... added a little glitter on her wings and popped her up on a dimensional. She is just buzzin over her glittered bee hive.

You can't see it good in the pictures but a neat trick I learned in regionals I had to work it out on this card... I stamped the honey jar with tone on tone in yoyo yellow and then took my versamarker and highlighted the honey overflow on the pots... This effect is ever so slight but really makes a pretty background.

Now who could not hesitate to show off their insides ether of such a cute card...
I had fun coloring this inside...

Yes I said no card and I liked it. Today's projet was taken from SCS Monday Technique Challenge. You can find that challenge here. It was so fun creating this little box....

This box was created using some of that new raspberry tart paper from the new catty and a whiff of joy stamp. The colors in this paper just scream at me Valentines. I'm not sure what I'm gonna put in the box but it has some posiblities. Even making one with a different theme for maybe the teachers at the end of the year. It just has so many possiblities. And it is so easy to recreate.

Now if you take a close look at the colored image you would see all the sparkle I put in her jeans and her wings. I used a product called shimmers. You can find Shimmers on their blog here. They are a fun scrapbook safe product. Just look and see the shimmer:

The shimmer on the jeans reminds me of a pair my daughter had when she was smaller. They were loaded with sparkle. I can't help but make her look somewhat like my daughter. I'm off to go play some more how you all are having a great week.

I decided to play with some new items... and this is alittle preview of what is to come in just a few weeks from Stampin Up!. Their new catty is coming on the 19th and my preordered catties will be here very soon... I've heard so much new product is packed in those little books. I'll share one of the Hostess sets that I was able to preorder...

This hostess set is called Echoes of Kindness and it is a level 2 set for the next catty. It has four stamps. Three floral images and one sentiment. I colored the floral image in with my stampin write markers and then added a piece of vellum to mute the colors and make the sentiment stick out over the flowers. To attach the vellum I used two silver brads. The designer paper is another peak into the new catty called Raspberry tart... it is so yummy.

I hope you are having a great weekend. Tomorrow I'm saying goodbye to DH. He is heading on a trip to CT. I'm hoping to go up there in a few weeks to visit a few friends we had up there when we left 4 years ago. Have a great Sunday.

I need a quick note the other day and sat down at my desk and created this...

Instead of breaking out my copics, I grabbed my prisma pencils and gamsol and went to town with this adorable House Mouse image. These stamps are so cute.
I couldn't tell you how many times I catch myself chewing on pencils or even catch my kids and DH.... I'll be playing some this afternoon as I'm waiting on UPS to drop a package..

I'm Back...

I'm back and wishing everyone a Happy New Year.... I'm planning on being a better blogger this year as well as a bunch of other resolutions I've made. But for today I put together a card while my DH was yelling and screaming watching the Rose Bowl... Not a football fan here but he is.

I have a Thank you to go out latter this week so this little card is something I threw together...

I grabbed one of my New stamps by Cornish Heritage Farms and went to town with it... I just love their Thomas Kinkade line. I also am a big fan of Spellbinders Nestablities dies and grabbed my megablities dies to create the frame... This was a fun card to create and come up with... I've got a box coming next week with new stamps from Stampin Up!... I can't wait to get them and play... Hope you all have a relaxing day and get to spend sometime with your families.

I'm currently working on some Baby shower invites and some Birthday cards... But thought I'd take a break and show you some birthday cards I've done for my pastor...

These two guys I think fit the bill for my pastor.... back towards the middle of the month he called and asked me for about twenty birthday cards. He made sure to ask for a few masculine ones and these were just calling to me when I began making them. I even made matching envelopes for these...

This adorable little boy is from Whiff of Joy's Guardian Angel Collection. I love their line of stamps. I colored this little guy in with my copic markers and then added some stickles to his wings. I think he can be used for many different type cards... Christmas, birthday, valentines....

These two cards were fun to make and they fit into a standard A2 envelope. These are the first tent topper cards I've ever made and I think they many not be the last ones either... Well I'm off to go make a few more birthday and then maybe stamp a few more of those baby shower invites... Anyone feel like coming over and stamping is welcome.....

I had a ruff Thanksgiving in the end... I ended up hitting a poll and putting a dint in my car when I got ready to leave my family gathering last night. No one was hurt but my pride is really bummed. It seems that my luck runs so that any car I own can't seem to go with out getting some sort of damage with in the first few years of owning it.

Oh well, here's a project I did at my last workshop that everyone seemed to enjoy...

Again we played with holiday line up images and made this cute candy bar wrapper. I got the idea to make these from Dawns Stampin Studio. She has lots of great videos and ideas. I think the chocolate was more the hit than the project itself....

Well I'm off to go do some holiday shopping... hope you are enjoying your Friday.

Today's card will be a cricut card I designed to show my family how to use their circuts... seems my aunt and my cousin both have one and they need some prompting on how to use it for cardmaking and such.

I had so much fun making this one I changed my cardbase up and made the holly bigger on the next one...

I used the designer paper from Stampin Up!'s mini catty Ski Slope... this paper is so pretty. And then cut some kiwi kiss and riding hood red for my words and holly.. I think they had fun making this card. The cricut images came from the stretch your imagination cartridge... This cartridge covers so many holiday and special occasions.

Late Inspiration...

It's late inspiration for me tonight... I've had the idea in my head to play with one of my Justrite stamps and combine it with one of my beautiful Whiff of Joy stamps. It took me stamping both images separately to knock out this beautiful holiday card...

I colored both images with my copics and still had problems knocking this design out... There are three attempts on the desk and boy do they look bad. but after grabbing a few scraps laying around on my desk it came together. I even added a few other stamp companies to the mix... I got my hands on Inkadinkado's Winter bird set and loved the idea of the birds flying out of the lamp as a watermark type image... and the sentiment came from one of my Papertrey Ink stamp sets.

There is so much in this card and it is one of my favorites now and I think I'll make a few more to send out this year... Well I'm off for the night I hope you all are ready for the weekend.

A Case of a card from

I fell in love with a card at regionals and knew I had to case it.... I did just that. This is the card I came up with...

I love this stamp image from the holiday mini set Home for Christmas. It is perfect for watercoloring and all sorts of other techniques.
After coloring this beautiful image in I took my two-way glue pen and ran it through the snow on the ground, steps and on the tree. I then added some dazzling diamonds glitter to the snow. This image is so pretty. I'm very happy with how this card turned out... The ribbon was pulled to make it curl.

This was fun to create...

My Regional Swap...

I thought I'd share my swap card I took with me to regionals on Saturday....

This was a fun card but not so fun in that it took me all the way up to the day before to get the design down to what I wanted to do. And needless to say I only got 45 of these babies completed for Saturday.

I knew what shape I wanted for my cardbase but was not sure what stamp I was going to use... Lucky for me an SU order arrived on my doorstep Friday morning and it had the perfect stamps for this card... Holiday lineup... These images are just too cute and you may see some other cards using them before this holiday season is over.

For this card I took out the line up of Santa's reindeer. I actually did not color the image in and really wanted too. But I did decide to make sure we got Rudolph's nose really bright red and gave it some added dimension with some crystal effects too. This is a very simple card but I think it turned out to be so cute...

I'm going to try and get some stamping done sometime today and have another fun card for you tomorrow. Have a great Tuesday and Veterans Day...

Have you ever just been in a slump and haven't been able to play with something you love doing? Well that has been me the last few months with my DH getting his promotion and then just feeling I can't come up with anything to stamp. Well This past weekend I went to Stampin Up!'s regional in VA Beach and I feel so ready to play with my stamps again. All the ideas they had were so much fun and of course I took to great ladies with me... can't have all the fun without friends.

Well I got back home and did some blurfing(for those who don't know what blurfing is it is another word for surfing some of my favorite blog sites). Well after doing it alittle bit I got inspired to try and do a challenge for the MFT ( My Favorite Things) Guest designer spot... It was watercoloring and guess what they promoted at SU regionals this weekend.. yup lots of watercoloring... My favorite thing along with my copics. But lets get back to my card...

I had to grab out my twinkling H2Os and my pink pirouette ink pad and have some fun with this card... And I've gotten alittle addicted lately with shape cards and what makes that so fun is my nestablities make making shape cards so easy....

These pictures really don't give this card justice since the twinkling H2Os sparkle so much... With all this sparkle I thought it needed alittle bling too. I love SU felt flurries too and the gems I got a while back at M's on clearance. They were the perfect bling for this card.. I hope you all are having a great Monday and I'm back and ready to stamp... So be ready to comeback for reads...

Morning moon....

Today's card is inspired by a morning picture I took of the moon setting one morning while waiting on my daughter's bus...

This moon was beautiful the other morning and I loved the cotton fields below it... I had to go run in and grab the camera and take this shot. And then today it helped me pull this card out.... I really do love living out in the country and seeing the beauty of nature.

I love the silhouettes this year Stampin Up! has come out with and this is my first set and you know I am happy with my creation with it... I think this will become one of my favorite sets. Hope you all have a great weekend....

Catty Case Saturday....

It is catty case Saturday and boy did I go out of the box with this one.... I took the rocket card on page 61 of the Fall and Winter catty and made my own template for a list holder....

This little holder is so cute and the note pads I found to go in them match our new Cardinal set from the holiday mini perfectly....

I made sure to have a pocket on the inside for either reciepts or coupons because this little list pad is so perfect for christmas list and or shopping lists...

Now I colored my Cardinal in with prisma pencils and gamsol. But to give that blue background I grabbed a sponge dauber and my Bashful blue ink pad and sponged around my little bird... I was a little bad though I picked up a border punch from Martha Stewart the other day in Micheals... it was calling my name. It is a snowflake border and I had to use it on this design...

I hope you have sometime to take a look at this layout on Page 61 of the Fall and winter catty and make something. If you do please feel free to let me know if you post on the web somewhere.

Well I'm back and had fun making this card...

This wreath image is a Lockheart image and is so pretty. I had fun breaking out my copics and coloring it in. I also made sure to use my nesties to cut the image and frame it.

I had to use my sahara sand for my base and then grabbed a scrap of stampin up!'s fall flower dp... I think it is retired not sure. I hope everyone is heady for a great weekend I am too excited about tomorrow but will be sure to let you in on it during tomorrow's catty case post... Have a great friday night...

Catty Case Saturday a day early....

Yes I'm posting this early because tomorrow will be a busy day. Today's card is both inspired by this mornings sunrise and in honor of my Aunt and Cousin who lost a dear family member last Friday, Wayne...

After waiting for the bus this morning with my DD I knew I needed to take out my brayer and try and recreate the beautiful sunrise this morning... So out came the brayer, the ink pads and the sponges and I tried my best to pull off a Zindorf card. She is such a wizard with the brayer.

I think I did so so on this but I am please with the card. I even added a little stickles to the ground and trees to show the morning dew. (of course that is the only non SU item on this card)

For the layout on this card I turned to page 86 of the Fall and Winter Catty for SU. Would love to see what anyone else may come up with for this layout. I'll try and get another card in tomorrow but not too sure if I'll make it to my desk... I so want to since it is World Card Making Day... But it is something that has been floating around in my head and I just had to try it anyway...

This is my all time favorite stamp set and I was so happy to see that this set had made it into the Fall and Winter Catty.
I only want to use very little color so I chose both natural Ivory cardstock and brushed silver. I stamped my image from Holy Triptych in silver encore ink and the sentiment came from To you & yours. This set has so many great uses.

At first I was going to have only three layers but felt the card was missing something so I broke out and dusted off my crimper and put it to work on a piece of the brushed silver cardstock. My cuttlebug got a workout as well. I used it for my nestiablities dies and for some new cuttlebug embossing borders I picked up the other day.

Playing with a sketch...

I love these Whiff of Joy stamps and they just happened to start a Challenge blog this week and I like the sketch and had to play along... (had a little free time before the kids got home... don't tell DH.) But you can fine the challenge blog here. I hope you enjoy the card I did for the challenge....

This was such a fun card to do... and I loved coloring in the little angel...
I colored her in with my copics and then added a little stickles to her jeans and her hair pieces. I'm not sure if the clip works on the card but I thought it looked cute. The sentiment is from an American Crafts Rubon set I happened to find in Biglots a couple of weeks ago... I knew one day I might use those rubons for something. The striped ribbon is also from Biglots, it is actually a pack of Basic Grey ribbon.

Well I'm off to figure out what will be the Catty Case Challenge for tomorrow. Hope you all are having a great Friday... I'll be running around alot tomorrow so have a great weekend...

Alittle more time on my hands...

And of course I had to ink up another of the Whiff of Joy stamps and play. Since I had to take my DD to two appointments today I stamped out both the other two stamps and grabbed my copics for a road trip. I started coloring them in bot only got one of them completed today so after dinner was over I set about to make a new card.

I had alittle trouble coming up with a layout for it so I head on over to the CPS Blog to take a look and see what the card sketch for the week was and boy did I like it. So I finished up the image and found a few other things and made this.....

This images are so beautiful... And I think almost any coloring medium will work with them. My next try will have to be watercolor. I think I may have gotten alittle carried away with the bling though but I love it.

This little girl has so much texture to her. I added alittle bit of fuzz to her wings and then the rhinestones to her jeans. Then for the circle I took a Papertrey Ink image from the anniversary set and stamped it on that luscious shimmery paper I found in Micheals about a month ago. (I've sort of been hording it and made myself cut it tonight for the first time.) I then added a few gems to different areas of the gem to pull some of the colors from her and the little bit of DP I used to the side of her.

I hope you all are having a great week I'm off to the gym again in the morning and then some housework... maybe I'll get to sneak in a card or two tomorrow. Night....

I have been browsing a few blogs and found the most beautiful images of late. I then began searching for those images and found them over in Europe called Whiff of Joy. Then last week my favorite online stamping store All That Scraps started to carry these beautiful stamps. Well today I got the three I ordered and you know I had to ink at least one of them up. So here is some eye candy for Monday....

I love this image and had to breakout the prisma pencils and gamsol to play with it today.After coloring in the whole image I wanted alittle bling... not alot but alittle. So I then grabbed a few bottles of stickles and gave her dress a little sparkle and then the lantern a glow. I then decided to take my nesties and cut her out. I really felt bad about this because her whole image is beautiful but for today's card it fit better cut...

It is that time for another day of Catty Case Saturday and today's case comes from Stampin Up!'s Spanish Catty supplement on page 11. I had so much fun with this one.
I decided again to leave off the ruff section but loved everything else about this layout.

I also changed the orientation of this card. It was fun and I decided that my bird need something other than just coloring him in... I then took out my iridescent ice ep and versamark to give the card a little bling.

This was a fun card to do and got me to use my watercolor crayons again after a long time of sitting in a deskdrawer... had to knock a little dust off but boy do I love those crayons. Yeah I am a bad blogger... but it seems my whole world just went all kinds of crazy but I think it may just maybe getting back on track. At least tonight I made a card.....

I needed one for my son's teacher tomorrow as he is going to get his braces and I also write out notes to the school on a handmade card. And you know what it felt good to craft that card out too. I have missed my card making this past few weeks and I hope I don't go off the band wagon again anytime soon...

On another note all my kids started school this week including my 4 year old... and she doesn't even look back at me when she is getting on her bus. Oh well more time for me to play... I hope you all are having a great week.

I just had to make another one using mostly Stampin Up supplies all due because the new catties have made it to my house, My DH is a chief select this year and My DD will be in school by the end of this month. All this exciting news has happen in the last few days and I just had to make a few cards. This was one I made this past weekend.

This little lamb in Stampin Up! Pun fun set is ust too cute. He was just perfect for this circle card along with coloring him in with my SU markers... yes no copics on this one. I cut the many circles out using my nesties scallop circles and cuttlebug... I love making card bases with these. The decorative dots around my lamb are made with liquid pearls... they sure due make him pop..

Sorry for leaving pictures and running but my parents called this morning and needed help getting ready for a delivery and I ran to help. I've had so much excitment in the last few days. My DH may Chief selectee for the navy this year and we are so thrilled. I just have so much going on I'm not sure what all is going to be next. But back to this cute card. Yesterday was a one of my friends birthday and I made this card for her and thought it turned out just too cute.

This card is alittle bite of basic grey and little of stampin up berry bliss dp that is retiring. I loved this paper. The stamp is just the cutest bella I've ever seen. And it is just perfect for this friend. I colored her with my copics and then did alittle paper piecing on her dress.
The ribbon is from papertrey ink. The Birthday seniment is from SU set Hugs and Wishes. And of course what is a girl with out alittle bling on her dress....

About to cry...

It seems after my post yesterday my laptop decided to die on me and I've got no cables nor card reader to upload tonight's card.... I just finished up a great card and now I can't uploaded due to the fact that the old laptop only used a card reader and it is mia and it also seems my camera cords have gone mia.

Well I can at least point my SU fans to some great spoilers that are going on right now on the net. It is SU convention time and there are a bunch of ladies checking out the new catty that has yet to land on my door step but they were nice enough to share on the net. You can find some great pictures of the stamps and products to come over on Bev convention blog here. And also there is a huge thread all devoted to the SU convention over on SCS.

Finishing up a swap...

That is what I've been working on for the past few days and I finished them last night.

This is a part of an alphabet recipe tag swap using all SU stamps. This was very challenging for me to come up with. I had the letter "J" and the recipe I used is called "Jack Pot Casserole." All the recipes in this swap sound so good and I can't wait to see what I get back. I have to run these to the post office this afternoon.

I decided to use my five point flower punch and use the flower as a closure. I also read about using the new scallop border punch to create a faux ricrack. you know I had to try it out and boy doing 27 of these made me wonder if I was going to have to order a second punch by the time the new catty comes out. (FYI I got notice that they are submitted to the supplier and they hopefully will be here next week maybe....) I am loving the new stuff that SU has been showing us and can't wait to see what this new catty is gonna have.

Well I have to run this to the post office very soon so have a great afternoon....

Another sneak peak....

I decided to play with the new hostess set Serene Spring and really enjoyed trying to make it mostly SU. I couldn't resist using my nestie dies o it though or grab the ribbon that matches one of the newest incolors so perfectly. Take a look and tell me what you think....

I stamped the butterfly twice and cut her out and used half of a dimensional to pop it up on the card. All of it was colored using my watercolor crayons no copics on this one... I used both my scalloped and regular long nesties to cut the cardstock. This is such a beautiful image. And the new incolor pink pirouette is such a soft pink... I think it will be one of my favorites this coming year.

I got all my new incolors today and boy do they look wonderful in person.... can't wait to see the new catty in the next few weeks. Have a wonderful Friday everyone....

Gettin alittle dirty..

This week is a chance to play with the Dirty Girls over on SCS and to warm up a bit I decided to play with JulieHRR's challenge from Tuesday. It can be found here. Her challenge was to embrace the white of a card which basically is a simple one layered white card and I went with alittle embossing and watercoloring for mine....

I grabbed my poor neglected watercolor crayons and went to work on this magnolia stamp image of tilda.
After watercoloring her, I then took a couple of my stickles out and added them to her top and her wings. I used fruit stickles and star dust on her. I also happened to have some ribbon from a share I had gotten from Texasjodylynn
a while back. It matched her shirt really well. I then noticed that I needed alittle something else and ended up running it through my cuttlebug with one of my long scalloped nesties to dry emboss a frame around her. This was such a fun challenge.

CPS Inspired....

Today's card is inspired by this weeks CPS sketch. It can be found over on the CPS blog, here. The CPS74 sketch is just too cute not to pass up. Here is what I came up with..

Haven't you ever just had one of those days. I think this image just explains it all. It is just too cute. I colored him in with my copics and then I went through my different selection of designer papers and came across a mat pack from DCWV. It was a beach themed set but this one selection had a piece that reminded me of sand paper and I thought it fit this image perfectly.....
Here is a close up of that paper it has a textured feel to it also. The color is just perfect for sand paper too. I used it to frame my image as well as a piece to counter it. I then reached for a piece of creamy caramel to offset the look a bit.

I had to add a bit of ribbon to it as well. I hope this card makes you laugh a bit. The sentiment that House Mouse has created to go with this image is just too cute as well....

Christmas in July..........

That is what it seems right now. I got a package in the mail this weekend from Cornish Heritage Farms. They sure do ship fast but lets get back to my wonderful package I had ordered... It was a new stamp from their new Sandra Kuck Series Ready for Christmas and it also include one of their new Scrapblocks, Fine Hounds tooth. I paired these two great stamps to make today's card.

The fine hounds tooth is great starter for a card and now I can make some great dp with it in any color I want. For this Christmas card I love to pair it up with a deep red color and black ink. I used bravo burgundy for this one along with classic black ink from SU.

As you can tell the Sandra kuck image involved alot of coloring and of course who could not help but add a little bling to the tree and the holiday trim in the image. I colored my image with copics on stamper select white cardstock. This little girl image is so darling.

I hope you get the chance to checkout the wonderful images Cornish Heritage Farms is putting out. I already love their Thomas Kinkade line this new line is just adding more.... Have a wonderful Monday Afternoon and I hope I'll be back again with another post.

Iam off to see Bryan Adams tonight with my aunt and then this morning I took Issy to the groomer for the first time and this is what she looked like when I picked her. Before this you could barely see her eyes due to her hair. She is so cute now...

Well I'm off and hope to be back latter tonight with a project cause I'm not sure how much sleep I'll get after going to this concert.

New Stamps + New punch = Play Time

I got my preorder yesterday and can you say wow.... I can't wait to see what is in the new catty. There is so many great new sets already and they have slipped a few more previews the demos way and oh my...

For todays car I played with the new Hostess level 3 set Winow Dressing.... This is a fun set and let me tell you a Stamp-a-ma-jig is your frien with this set.

I also looked around a bit on my favorite blogs and found a great layout to help start my card. KraftinKimmy had a great layout to work with and you can find it here.

I broke out my poor neglected watercolor crayons and colored in my image.... The little snowmen remind me of the snowmen you get from Hallmark during the holidays. I have a few and always put them out during the holidays. I also grabbed my Lovely As a Tree set and added the tree in the window and took a few rhinestones to it. This card is so pretty.. I also added crystal effects to the window. I hope you have enjoy the first peek into the fall and winter catty. Have a great afternoon.

Kinkade mood...

Yup I am in a Kinkade type mood and thought I'd share the first card I made today...

This card idea has been in my head all weekend ever since GinaK posted her weekend challenge. I just couldn't come up with anything using her stamps because my Kinkade collection has been calling out to me... I've neglected them and I need to knock some dust off and play... This was fun coloring it with my copics and then adding a layer of iridescent ice ep over the image.

I wanted this to be perfect but the only problem is my sewing machine is not working.... I wanted to add a little stitching around the dp edge. Oh well Guess I'll have to work on the machine before making another one of these.

My main image is one of Cornish Heritage farms Thomas Kinkade stamps found here. It is called the Forest chapel Vignette. They have come out with a couple of new ones that I'm gonna have to add to my collection sooner or later.... I love the images and the detail you get from these wonderful stamps.
